I recently attended an honorary event for a major donor to a University in the grate plains. The Chancelor, President, President of the foundation, and Head of the department that had received the majority of his donations all gave speeches. I rubbed shoulders with many educational elite that night. It is noteworthy that in a solid red state academics are remarkably liberal.
