Kerry has always been a champion of honesty in warfare. He is not a pacifist, but he is an honest warrior.

Kerry wanted Saddam disarmed but did not want to invade until we were damned ready, and only as a last resort when fully prepared for the outcome. He made that clear, but you wouldn't know it from the rightwing smears.

Kerry is a pragmatist. He never would have invaded like Bush did, so unprepared, so alone, but now that we're there he wants us to achieve something. Otherwise we waste 300 billion and 2000 lives. Still Kerry is thoroughly disgusted and I'm sure getting more and more angry and motivated to change things.

Kerry is also staying out of sight a little longer. I do believe he will run for president. But so far he's been smart to stay out of sight. He is vindicated more and more every day. No reason to waste his ammo now. The courts are doing his job for him now. Once Delay, Rove and Cheney's group are out of the way and Bush disgraced, it will be a lot easier to send a clear message.
