It's hard to make a case when the other side is lying. I would have thought that was obvious. If I tell you your neighbor is going to shoot you if you don't let me take him out for you (and I give you "evidence" of his dastardly schemes), you're going to support me- until the evidence comes out that I lied. You might be reluctant to believe I would tell a lie like that, you might try to hold on to your faith, especially if the deed is done, but eventually you're probably going to get mad at me for lying to you. When the American people rise up and demand change, they shouldn't have to wait 4 years for it- that's just stupid. Any intelligent person knows that shit happens between elections.
