Before the war, the only reporter worth a damn in America was Walter Pincus at the WaPo. Pincus is 70+ years old - so maybe he remembers what a journalist is supposed to do.

Here is an article of his from '03 (that mentions the WHIG):
washingtonpost.com

Excerpt:
"The escalation of nuclear rhetoric a year ago, including the introduction of the term "mushroom cloud" into the debate, coincided with the formation of a White House Iraq Group, or WHIG, a task force assigned to "educate the public" about the threat from Hussein, as a participant put it.

Two senior policymakers, who supported the war, said in unauthorized interviews that the administration greatly overstated Iraq's near-term nuclear potential."

Pincus had an article ready BEFORE THE INVASION that claimed the White House WMD claims were a fraud. The WaPo sat on the story and later apologized.

Pincus is a JOURNALIST. Judy Miller is worthless trash.
