re: JF, so what's your opinion of sending others to fight for you in Afghanistan, or Pakistan, or other places where Osama might be hiding?

If I could snap my fingers and bin Laden and I would be both be dead, I would do it in a second. If I thought for a second that I could avenge 9/11 by going to Afghanistan, I would do it. I would gladly give my life for that SOB and what he did to my country.

But not in a lifetime would I give my life or the life of any of my fellow citizens for the Bush lies about Iraq. It's an abuse of a huge responsibility, doing harm to the soldiers and people of this country.

But bottom line, I'm too old. And assuming I could enlist, I would be sent to Iraq, not Afghanistan, and even in the narc republic of Afghanistan, I wouldn't be going after bin Laden.
__________

You, on the other hand, are the perfect age to serve your country. And you support the war, without reservation. 10,000 US kids gave their lives for Korea. In a patriotic gesture, as a Korean living a great life in the OC, for a war you think is so honorable, you could do payback. You could enlist, like the kids did in Korea, or in WWII. In a rush of patriotic enthusiasm. You could demonstrate your sacrifice, your gratitude, as so many immigrants have done so many times before you.

No, you say, US soldiers are just paid garbage man. The 2000 dead garbage men in Iraq are none of your concern. The 10,000 dead garbage men in Korea are none of your concern. You pay them, they choose their lives because that's what they like to do, not because they love their country more than Ten. The OC is much nicer than a tent in the Iraqi desert.

"Chickenhawk" is a compliment.

You feign comprehension problems re: the difference between Afghanistan and Iraq, and resort to cheap tricks in your counterpoints....i suppose i can understand this.
