I just don't see George of Arabia going after the Saudis unless he's really gone off the deep end. It's hard to tell with him. He's deteriorated so much since 2000 and he's kept under such tight wraps that it's impossible to say if he's altogether there.

Reagan wasn't there during his last term and maybe for part of his first. The US didn't seem to care much aside from the occasional joke about his memory loss. Ditto Bush. Some people think he's a religious fanatic who doesn't think about what he does because he believes that he's doing God's work so that anything he does is a-ok. I don't see him being that religious but I do see him as delusional and mentally fragile so maybe that comes across as religious fanaticism.

If the WH does get shaken to its core with the Fitzgerald inquiry, maybe the curtain will be pushed back far enough to let the truth out. The American Corporate Media is close to being worthless. They've closed their foreign bureaus, rely on the same central feeds and spend more time in the makeup chair and salary negotiations than doing any investigative reporting.
