I.J.:

Ouch, but good about the "fold" part.

>> will keep a lot of attorneys off the dole <<

hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, and now this. what a year.

(thanks for the perspectives on debt, always upfront when thinking about an edge.)

>> What are the chances of H5N1 reassociating into an easily transmissible human-to-human virus? How long will it take? Will FluMist confer any immunity however small? <<

1. 99% plus. The number of humans on Earth is increasing, as is the demand for reproducible sources of tasty protein.

2. Haven't a clue.

3. Great question! They (MEDI) had that tiny bit of cross-reactivity data, and who is to say that a little T cell priming doesn't sneak in at some cross-reactive level that's not reflected in serology (B cell response)? Don't know, but it's a great question and one would hope that MEDI would follow up.

Guess J.D. decided that folk in Belgium were sane and decided to stay.

:-)
