The best solution would be for Microsoft to buy a fingerprint technology startup, integrate this into the OS, then ask the OEMs to test against a USB fingerprint-stick that reads your fingerprint, so you don't have to carry a zillion smart-cards for every bank/brokerage firms you do business with. Just one USB fingerprint-reader stick would be needed on your key chain. (And if you lose your key chain, you can just buy another USB fingerprint-reader stick from Fry's, CompUSA, etc.) This solution would allow: - you to conduct business from any devices you own from any location with any brokerages/banks.
