Actually, expanded flats are more common than regular ones:

Far more common, however, is the variety called an expanded flat, which contains a price extreme beyond that of the preceding impulse wave. Elliott called this variation an "irregular" flat, although the word is inappropriate as they are actually far more common than "regular" flats.

The person who really got through my head the concept of Expanding Flats was our good old ER. He was very aggressive in his reading of Flats. I think he was right on that.

Thanks, David.....Just to confirm, LD not mentioned there - or anywhere - in my 1978 first edition......

As a strict "traditionalist", therefore, I have no choice but to ignore LD......LOL
