They started a war in Iraq, and in process, created great uncertainty in the oil markets. Markets hate uncertainty.

So now the price of a barrel of oil is $65 because of uncertainty? Sure there might be some uncertainty premium but I think there is more to the story.


You asked for what role Bush played in the increase in oil prices. I gave you the answer. Of course, there are other elements at play........Bush didn't do it all single handedly......but the war in Iraq has been a big factor.
