guys, if you look at my posts today...and the last few days....

some think I'M TRYING TO DOWN APPLE...I'm not...I think it's a "great company" and wish more companies had such great products, mgmt, and vision...

unfortunately, I think the new vid/ipod will sell and is a "nifty device"...

I JUST DON'T THINK IT WILL BE A "BIG HIT" for Apple...due some to the product having "limited media" and "limited application"

sure they'll sell some JUST NOT IN THE NUMBERS THAT JUSTIFY THE CURRENT STOCK PRICE...and much consideration must also be given to the impact of "negative energy inflation!"

Myself it's costing me well over a $1000. per year this year over last year for just gasoline/heat.

THAT'S A THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS IN MY POCKET TO SPEND ON "LUXURY CLASS ITEMS" ...like a vid/ipod when I already have a "music player"
and a much more useful "cellphone."

Now, MOST PEOPLE ARE SPENDING CONSIDERABLY MORE ON "GASOLINE/HEAT" than I am...

forget the CPI/PPI ...figure out how many gallons of gas you use a week and multiply by $1. (that's how much your paying this year over last)...home/heating is up about 40-50% this year over last...do that number...

you'll probably be surprised...now devide that by your "net income" and YOU HAVE "YOUR REAL INFLATION" ...NOT SOME NUMBER BANDIED AROUND BY THE MEDIA...

I ESTIMATE MOST PEOPLE'S REAL INFLATION IS LIKE 5-10%...TRUCK DRIVERS WHO USE hundreds of gallons of diesel a week...their real inflation is maybe 30%

This, unfortunately is THE REALITY...

now, this has to hit into the SALES AT APPLE and ALMOST EVERYONE ELSE...which spell LOWER SALES GOING FORWARD...

now, as I predicted the Apple stock seems to have a "ceiling" of about 54...

now, if you had taken my advice and sold it at this price...YOU COULD HAVE ALREADY "BOUGHT" IT BACK AT 53 OR BETTER...IN THE LAST COUPLE DAYS...

AND YOU WOULD STILL HAVE THE SAME NUMBER OF SHARES BUT MADE A DOLLAR ON EACH.

DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MAKING MONEY THIS WAY...BUYING AND SELLING...OR DO YOU JUST SIT THERE THINKING THE STOCKS GOING TO HIT 60...

YOU COULD HAVE MADE THE 6 POINT DIFFERENCE JUST BY BUYING/SELLING ON THE "DAILY SWINGS" IN THE LAST FEW DAYS!!!

Now, me, because I'm afraid of a significant downturn (any day now) prefer to sit back an wait for Apple to fall to more realistic levels of 47-49...maybe 45...

AND THEN I'LL BUY BACK IN...THEN...I'll still have the same "thousands of shares" but I'll have SAVED BY SELF A LOSS OF SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS...

IT'S REALLY BASICALLY THAT SIMPLE...

and don't forget my "institutional shuffle" explanantion...THAT IS ALL THAT'S HOLDING APPLE STOCK UP IN THE "FIFTIES!"

you're loss is YOU JUST SIT THERE WAITING FOR "60!"

like I say...you could already have made that "six point" difference just by "daytradin'" it in the last few days.

I like Apple just not at "fifties" prices, based on all I know about product, mkts, inflation impacts...etc.

I write based on a "lot of analysis" of a "big picture"...I like being right and am "most of the time"...EVEN IN CASES WHERE SOME WOULD SAY "THAT'S NOT IN YOUR BEST INTEREST" and your going to "lose" personally if that happens...I will still express what I think is TRUE!

I could be wrong...BUT I DON'T INTENTIONALLY MISLEAD OR MANIPULATE! That's just the way I am.

>>they FLOOD THE "BUY" SIDE WITH ORDERS (SUPPORTING AND INCREASING THE STOCK PRICE...but this is only temporary...as the "non-institutional buyers JUMP IN..."ALSO ON THE BUY SIDE"...they REDUCE THEIR BUY ORDERS (now that they primed the "buying pump" with non-institutional investors AND SWITCH TO "STEADY SALES TO YOU" ...THEREBY MAKING A GOOD PROFIT...and "keeping the price as high as they can for as long as they can" SO THEY CAN KEEP UNLOADING their SHARES (which are in most cases at their high) TO YOU! <<

FB -

So they start to dump their shares by buying? Then when the stock goes up because of all their buying they switch to selling to individual investors? That would mean that they would have even larger positions to liquidate.

How's that supposed to work when the institutions own 75% of the stock? There wouldn't be enough individual buyers to make a dent in their holdings.

Thanks for the lesson. I appreciate your trying to protect me from those evil manipulators.
