Average Americans cannot afford to buy Exxon stock just to share in its gouged profits.

Stop making stuff up. I'm pretty sure more than half of US households own stock, either directly or through mutual funds and retirement plans. They can afford to buy Exxon and Haliburton and other public companies, and they should if your analysis is accurate and those companies are making extraordinary profits.

Do you own any Exxon or HAL stock??

And you've never answered, if Exxon's profits last year were gouging, what amount would have been appropriate? Is there some reason you don't answer??
