The Lord's prayer was said with the Lutherans mumbling a longer version

LOL. I'm used to the mumbling of the longer version. When I was a kid and we still said the Lord's Prayer in school, I always finished early. Which is perhaps why it doesn't seem outrageous to me to not end the Pledge at the same time as everyone else.

It got to where the Priest told us to just stay seated and shut up.

i had a pastor who used to tell the whole church to shut up. yell at us altar boys, yell at people to open their mouths for communion.

In my experience with priests , they are human, it appears lots of them have some type of personal problems, either they think they walk on water, or really have no knowledge of life on life terms. Of course there are those who are terrific.

in summary,, do not judge catholic by the priest you meet. rather judge on your experience with others. We got a bunch of losers out there in all our churches. and sick o's

of course i never thought church or a particular faith was important as long you were headed in the right direction.
