It worked out great. We had one dominant pitcher so we started him in about four out of seven games we played that week. We let him go through their order once and then took him out (at that age they bat 10-14 players). He hardly felt it. That got us through the third inning in good shape. That's the key. If you have a lead it completely changes everything - stealing, bunting, infield in or back. Unfortunately we were playing really great teams from all over the country so we ended up about 4-3, but it wasn't the fault of the primer strategy. I think we'll consider that strategy again next year. I like it.
