That's a racist statement. Many thousands of black leaders have not sold out. In the democratic party alone there are hundreds of fine black leaders who stand their ground and hold their heads high. The best ones IMHO are Harold Ford and Barak Obama. Ford was Kerry campaign's co-chairman. Both of these men have a chance to someday be POTUS. Ford will be a senator soon like Obama. Charles Rangel of course is also very impressive.

On the GOP side, black leaders like Watts, Powell and Rice often have to back policies which go against the interests of their own people. Powell seems to have a problem with that. Rice and Watts don't.
