Ah, now there's something I find worth discussing (Paramount, that is). Having noted Cdn trust spinoffs sometimes treat US investors differently, I waited and purchased PMT.UN just after the spinoff, added during all their troubled times and it was my very last trust to be sold.

That trust came very close to a "falling in love with a stock" thing for me.

If I were to ever buy a Cdn trust again, Paramount would be where I would look first and my son continues to hold them on my advice. Sue and her team, IMO, represent the very best in management. The finest of any stock I ever held.

For comparison, I bought Acclaim just prior to their reverse split and held (as I recall, memory does get hazy sometimes) through January 2005, liked them but still found PMT.UN management far superior.

I had a five year history with the trusts, during that time the least any of the five accounts I manage held was >85%, and some of those I held were AVN, AE, AY, PWI, PGH, PMT, PVE, ERF, VKR, CSS and EIT ... but thats all past, made my decision based on my opinion that the politics/tax situation definitely would not improve ... but it remains a move I would have preferred not being forced to make.

Luck
