Gonna do the same myself. Trip to WPB cancelled.

Also going to keep the tank topped off, gas situation will get ugly in a couple days.

Same old story from my folks in WPB: "We aren't making any plans because we don't know where it will go yet"

By the time we know where it is going there won't be a hotel room within 500 miles.

I just got off the phone with the Royal Pacific in Orlando. They take pets...I was on hold for 40 minutes and the operator first said she had no rooms but one popped up and I took it. I have a cat and dog so I felt I needed to reserve ahead. I reserved for Friday thru Sunday.

Last September, my family and I evacuated when it looked like Ivan would strike SW Florida. Living through Charlie, I am happy to look the fool by going early. It took me 9 hrs to drive to Orlando, normally a 3 hr. trip.

Hard Rock and Portofino take pets as does Residence Inn in Orlando. If evacuation orders are given, most hotels will lift their pet restrictions.
