Hi Murray! Good point on collectables. Yep, those cycles demand patience. I pulled out some gold American Eagles not long ago that I bought the last time gold was pushing $500. I said "hello, it's been a long time since I looked at you." Now, how long ago was that...... 17 years? (g)

On the numismatic approach, I do think the upper end, the 64's, maybe 63's, graded Saints will be in strong demand until gold pushes so high that the premium in them is too great and actually comes down towards bullion price. Granted, that may be awhile in coming.

Also, the higher end collectables reference you made reminds of going where the big money is, like real estate. Suspect you know what I mean. Even in downturns, the upper end doesn't miss a lick.

Ya know, you've heard me call it the "obnoxiousness of wealth."
