It's mostly about the projected growth in the three huge entitlement programs -- Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid -- as the baby boomers approach retirement. Those programs already account for 40 percent of federal spending. And as health care costs continue to rise faster than inflation, the cost of health programs will surpass that of Social Security.

If the problem is all about Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid then this is just more right wing bs.

The problem is purely with the Bush Administration. There is no one in charge of the economy that knows anything about the economy.

Clinton for all his faults had Robert Rubin.

We now have Snow. I think he is an okay guy, but he wasn't that great when he ran some railroad company - and now he is in the big leagues. Worse, he is not in charge. Bush is in charge.

Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid can be fixed.

But, the reckless management of the economy by this administration is the biggest problem at the moment.
