Just came across an interesting rumor.

Cheney will resign his office as VP and Condi Rice will be his designated heir--all of this to set her up for the 2008 Presidential run. Dick Morris is touting Rice as the only potential candidate who can keep Hillary out of the White House.

Yes, a rumor, but one never knows. And it really does make a lot of sense.

This despite the fact that Rice continues to insist that she has no interest in running for President.

The NYT is the "Crown Jewel" of the liberal establishment. And in reality, privately run now. The Sulzbergers run it as the Fords run Ford.

As much as we bitch, their editorial philosophy accurately reflects their core market in NYC. The financial results reflect the truth of the new media reality.
