Re: Look no further than the Brits of the 1920s. Or how about Palestine aka Israel, West Bank and Gaza? Again the Brits. And what was that little agreement France and the Brits came up with around 1917 divvying up the ME? Something manifesto?

But it's now 60 years after the US took up where the wily Brits left off.... Granted, French rule over Algeria lasted 132 years but Algerians' liberation struggle took only eight years (1954-1962) without the French invading Morocco and Tunisia or supplying the Pieds-Noirs with nuclear bombs...

The US has unfailingly supported Israel because the latter mirrors on a smaller scale the US's own fantasies, namely, a Chosen People vs Ugly Barbarians. The US fancies itself as an enlarged replica of Israel and the world as an unruly West Bank populated by hostile bums.... The sooner you Jesus freaks shed your supremacist complex the better.
