No stress would turn a person into a vegetable. When I got my father to retire at 74 from the retail men's wear business, after 57 years, my family said I had killed him. He started working for FREE for 6 months and then discovered he could play golf all week, go to Canada fishing for a month and go to Florida for two months instead of two weeks.

My mother wanted to see Cape Cod so they drove out there. When they got ready to leave he asked if there was anything else she wanted to see. Yep, Lake Banif in British Colombia. Yep, drove across Canada on the way back to Illinois.
