President Bush has just accelerated the moral decay of fiscal prudence that was already institutionalized. I am beginning to wonder if he has ever displayed fiscal discipline in any aspect of his life. Can he balance a check book? Did he depart baseball because of fiscal liberalism? Etc.

"Bush is a big disappointment to conservatives, we didn't realize that compassionate conservative meant fiscal socialist to him. Biggest spending president in recent history including LBJ, even w/o considering war/terror/hurricane expenses."

On a related subject, has anyone tried to make sense out of the new Medicare Part D Drug program? A bigger, stupider nonsensical, impossible to administer plan was never created!

Yes, but much of his spending is just going into the pockets of big business.
