The Constitution says she is qualified. Don't need to be a judge to be qualified, many past SCOTUS judges were not judges prior to appointment. IMO it would be nice to have someone who is not even a lawyer be appointed.

I risk appearing to be a Bush sycophant when I say that I support Mrs. Miers because I have confidence in his ability to appoint qualified people.

When you say she is not qualified, what do you base that on? Do you mean that she does not have the experience to prove that she is qualified?
