Twas obvious before 9/11. Problem is and continues to be that the US government (and I refer to both paries) is guilty of installing and supporting many such regimes across the globe.

Saddam was brought to power by the CIA. Bin Laden funded to oust the Soviets from Afghanistan. How about Iran in the 50's, same thing. The Saudi's are still supported by the US despite fact that the majority of the 9/11 hijackers were purported to be Saudi. Quit creating populations with nothing left to use but terrorism and you'll see less terrorism.

Chavez is the new bad guy on the block. All of a sudden he's fomenting terror, and "turning South America against the US". Geez could it be the oil AGAIN?

Get off your soapbox and get a grip on reality.

You will never get traction with that argument of yours while the US supports totalitarian regimes that foment terror in return for supporting the US in some form or manner. The globe is not buying the propaganda that the US is selling. The sales job is awful, and the salesmen are hacks.

When the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed, I thought that the US would step up to the plate, grasp the opportunity, and lead humanity forward in an intelligent and balanced manner. What the hell was I smoking?

Instead, your country has been overtaken by greedy lobbyists, money sucking, warmongering politicians and middle class destroying corporate strategies.

The result is self destructive foreign policy and the resultant increase in anti-Americanism. Look at Karen Hughes's trip to the Middle East. What a farce. Incredible in its ignorance and lack of situational awareness. What were they thinking?

You have a very young and incredible country that was created by the founding fathers. It is time to revisit those values and realize your immense potential. Kick the lobbyists out of Washington, and reel in the politicians while there is still something left to save.

If you guys get going on that, you'll see a whole new attitude and a sea-swell of support from your former allies and others. Sure you'll still have enemies, but you won't be giving them free ammo.

The Islamic religious fundamentalists are a great danger to us all and to their own populations, but you aren't going to beat them with current tactics. You need a sophisticated strategy that does not include sending the bulk of your forces half way across the globe to fight a never ending and bankrupting war.

Can't someone send Rummy a copy of Sun Tzu's "The Art of War"?

Just a few minutes ago Baaba Wawa was on tv apparently introducing the President. She thanked President and Mrs Reagan for being there.

That liberally biased old bat needs to stay retired.
