Class warfare is a tenet of liberal politics, but it has no basis in reality.

Capital investment is the key to a robust economy that creates jobs and shares wealth and security across all income levels. Conservatives are committed to this capitalist model, which is born of compassion.

Your assumptions seem predicated on the notion that bigger government yields benefits to the poorer among us. The "rich", through spending and investments, are the ones who provide opportunity, not government.

Israel Kirzner once noted that the conclusions of economics are largely counter-intuitive. Without guidance the average layman is likely to support initiatives contrary to the causes he purports to serve.

Milton Friedman noted that government can offer little positive, if anything, but can cause a great deal of harm.

Shame that so many folks like yourself have such a sophomoric understanding.

I am not aware of anything the so-called compassionate conservatives have ever done that is not completely self-serving.

And are we to assume that the Leftist Supreme court ruling on eminent domain is somehow supposed to be a compassionate decision? How does this help the "little" guy?
