Matt Simmons is doing a diservice by spouting off these worst case, disaster scenarios.

On the other hand, we have seen these types of prices in the cash market during winter.

$40 NG? That will tank the economy and we'll find out what the old saw "the cure for high prices is high prices" really means. The four horsemen of the apocalypse is what it would mean.

I'm beginning to fear that the weakness in the energy sector in the face of bullish supply indicators recently is the canary in the coal mine. Maybe SA will never sustain more than 10MM bbl per day. Maybe the world won't need them to produce more.

Then we get the double twilight. In the desert, and in the economies of the developed world.
