For the mid to last cap E&P companies, I use the 200dma.

For the small and micro E&P companies it's a gut call based on what I know about the company. These are value plays and usually buy them when few either know the story or they've been beaten bloody.

TGA comes to mind at the moment. Violation of anything TA but doesn't mean it's not a great buy and hold for 06 especially at these prices.

Tough question for a generalist
