Murder is a denial of the self evident civil right to life.

I guess you need to read the Constitution. Except when committed in the military or on foreign embassies, then murder is a crime that is prosecuted by the states. That doesn't take away your right to life, but the punishment to the murderer will vary from state to state. Or in California get away scott free.

Keep in mind, the Bill of Rights usually dictates what the government can not do so that your rights are protected. Most rights which are taken away by other individuals are generally not mentioned and prosecuted by the various states, in civil court, or perfectly OK. The latter as when Bill bans you is OK but would be illegal if he were a government official.
