Also plan to rent a car and drive up north for a few days and visit Fort McMurray and take an oil sand tour. Looking forward to it.

I enjoy sausage, but I don't want to see it made. After seeing the oil sands, you'll never use energy again. That is going to be one ugly sightseeing tour. Go to Banff and Jasper afterward to cleanse your palette.

CC it may be interesting but I agree with TC and the rest... go to Banff, Jasper, Lake Louis, maybe Maline Lake (now that can be surreal), walk the glacier... and if you gotta real urge to go North ... try Wood Buffalo National park... ... also Drumheller and the dinosaur museum is pretty good..
