I won't champion murderers from any camp. But I understand what UBL said. And I knew it long before he became known to the west. And such as it is, there are many important resources in the middle east, and it has garnered much interest from the west. Some time this kind of corporate interest has led our nation to do some things that they shouldn't have done. Why do they do it? Because they think they can. A far better path would be one of mutual respect and peace. But that takes both parties working hard to that end. I would say that Bush carries on a long western trait of exploitation of others to control natural resources. Remember when they said the oil will pay for the war? OBL and Al Qaeda would need to work much smarter too if they want to end war. They might take notion that Bush is using their "warring stance" as fuel for his war chest. By terrorist acts, they simply add to their problem. Bush while responding with war fuels the move to jihad. So it's a collision course. Then some have said that UBL is CIA. That they use him to justify the war...and the conquest of nations. The US is happy to play Iraq like a puppet...two recent Iraqi presidents in the new government were CIA operatives. That can add to more questions indeed. The tons...literally tons of hundred dollar bills spent on the streets of Baghdad. Bremmer had 600 billion in cash in his office. People where paid out of the back of trucks in cash. One guy was given 2 million dollars in hundred dollar bills, and was never seen again. War is a strange time.
