Students who were number one in their graduating class are generally not socially normalized people. Thay also have a tendency to have opinions of themselves that are inflated higher than their grades. Few are regular Joes or Janes.

So are you suggesting that being a pompous fool is a prerequisite for being on the Supreme Court?

The legacy of restoring some perspective to the SCOTUS may yet be President Bush 43's greatest. It appears that those who are most isolated in the ivory tower are most remote from the average American. It is the average American who is subject to the haughty rule of our courts.
