<People who could drive but won't because the price dissuade them to do so, is repressed demand. I have a problem with your logic because the way you look at it there's no unemployment since jobs are matching applicants.>

I have repressed demand for a Lexus, a Cessna Citation a swanky CDMA cyberphone and all the megabytes I feel like using. Everything priced above zero is in short supply. There is simply not enough of it to go around.

There is a labour shortage in New Zealand - employers are whining about lack of the right people. I ask them whether they have tried offering $100 an hour. They haven't. They want to have skilled workers at $10 an hour.

You are right, there is no unemployment - the unemployed in New Zealand have got jobs. They do nothing for the government. It's a really cushy number. No working hours per week and they get about $10,000 a year, plus other perks if they have children, special needs, blah blah blah.

Those who say they are unemployed are really just wanting to own a Lexus without doing the work.
