Elmatador Re: "False flag black op?" Something like this happened in Davo, Philippines a few years ago. A guy, Michael Mering, a Limey retired doctor and ex-CIA officer and treasure hunter (common foreigner pastime in the Coconut Republic) was blasted out of his hotel room bed by a big explosion, losing a leg in the process. While recovering in a Davao hospital (and under armed guard to keep him there) the US Embassy sent a team of officers to Mindanao and snatched Mering, bringing him back to Manila, from where he was sent back to the US, last heard of in Texas, minus the leg.

I have some friends who met Mering and visited with him in the same hotel room. They are of the opinion that he was some sort of spook and probably was somehow involved with the Mindanao Muslim radicals and explosives or bombmaking. If you look real close you see lots of things like this going on, just below the surface.

After Mering was wisked out of the country there was a big stink for a while, but it blew over. The Davao mayor filed charges against Mering and publicly stated the Mering was involved with the Muslim bombers. I bet you have run up on a number of these sorts of things in your travels. There are some strange people lurking about in the odd corners of the world.
