Skiing:
Lake Louise is, by my experience, far better weather than Whisler Blackcombe (I'm committed to dispensing with that destination-fed up skiing in gray soup).
Louise is drier, fresher, sunnier. Top notch grooming and friendly runs (no more black diamond-broke ribs near the spine on a major tuck run) for our calibre (age :o).
It has been a few years since I've skiied as we are snowbirds now and run away from brutal Northern Ontario winters.
However, if the southern US continues to wash into the Gulf of Mexico we may get back to skiing and snowmobiling (which I really enjoy). :o)
Cheers
C

Skiing:
For the last few years LL has been in a virtual snow desert-relies on snow making for much of the season on lots of the hill.
Sunshine Village has the more reliable natural snow, in fact it has no snow making at all.
Nice mix of terrain-mellow short runs to great glade skiing. It
can get windy and socked in but one can usually find a mountain that is ok on a particular day.
Its lookin' good already!
