Obama is too young I think. The "old guard" too careful. They need somebody like a McCain... a down to earth maverick. Dean comes closest but I don't think his reputation can be rehabilitated. Too bad he F'ed up in Iowa. Unless the Republicans can clean up their house in the next couple of years (the mid-terms could be a wake-up call), I think the next President will be a Democrat. Which Democrat? Probably Hilary unless someone else rises to the top. And the Reps are not taking any steps in that direction. You can almost see the pendulum at it's apex, starting to swing the other way. John
