Cari:
I've read sooooooo much ... I'll try to find the link that specifically addresses this issue.
But just for clarification, flu(s) come in different viral forms. A simple example might be .. a skin rash ..
Let's say you have roseacea, but you think it's psoriasis. So you wash your face with Pine Tar soap. But, the "rash" doesn't go away. That's because medicine for psoriasis will not work for roseacea. This theory applies to flu(s) as well.
There are different strains of flu viruses. Take the Spanish Flu of 1918, for example. A vaccine for Spanish Flu cannot be used for the Hong Kong Flu of 1968. TWO DIFFERENT viruses = two different vaccines.
You might want to "google" .. "virus", "vaccine", "bird flu" ...
It's actually quite interesting.
You'd be amazed!

Cari...thank you for the Roche site.
It did answer a few questions I had, especially regarding dosage for prophylaxis. My wife is a RN who is high risk, and needs some prevention, against any A or B influenza. Thanks again.
