I read sometime ago that 200 restaurants open up every month and at least 200 fold every month. Some only are open two weeks and close because of lack of customers.

We have one Italian restaurant that is located in the family home where he was born and we went there a few times for lunch and dinner and it was simply excellent, so we started telling everyone how great it was and to try it sometime and now it has expanded by buying two houses next to it and going full steam. The same chef is still there and is from Italy. They always bring new things out for us to test as a group before putting them on the menu and we have never turned anything down they have served.

The first time I ever had orange slices with a circle of red sweet onion on top of it, I did not think I would like it, but it was such a wonderful delicious taste, I ate three of them. That also was the place I had banana-blueberry cream pie that became my favorite desert there. Every one I told about this tried it and it became very popular, but the lady that made them retired and the owner's wife made a few at first and her husband kept telling her to make three more than she did the last week and she said it just became so much work for her she also quit making them. That was a real bummer. She later passed away and I keep intending to ask him for the recipe, but so far I have forgotten when there. Just hoping his family still has the recipe and I can finally get it. I just can't describe how wonderful it was to me.
