A new regime is only a good idea when it comes from the people.
Being against Iraq isn't being against all wars; nor is being against attacking Syria and Iran being against all wars. Removing dictators and leaders is wrong. It ain't our job. It was wrong when the Russians did it, and it is wrong when we do it.

Being against all wars is not going to fly in post 9-11
How would you feel if it was proven that the Bush administration were complicit in 9/11?

Scrowcraft is not your anti war left. Please give up the Kerry discussion before you lose any further credibility. I think there is a reason why senators don't easily become presidents. They try to speak from both sides of their mouths.

"Ideally, a new regime in Iraq was a fine idea"

Living in heaven with angels waving their beautiful soundless wings all around us in stunning scenes of majestic beauty is a fine idea also BUT a fine idea ONLY for the one having the fine idea.

Look at Iraq. Is that a fine idea? Is it just because the fine idea was not implemented just the right way, or something else?

Is there something wrong about imposing our fine ideas on other
countries? Or is this just our God-given right?

You tell me!

Namaste!

Jim

I am jumping out of this discussion because I don't have the time.

You have your opinions, and a right to them.

I disagree with many of them, as I have said.

I see no sign that anything being said in rebuttal to you is
"sinking in" in any way, so more of the same from me is just
thread-spam.

Namaste!

Jim

Sometimes removing dictators and terrorists makes sense ...

It makes more sense not to create any in the first place.

So when are we going to remove the dictators from Uzbekistan and Pakistan, the ones we are coddling right now?!
