Considering no Republican Senator has indicated Any desire to defeat Harriet Miers there is no reason to dump her overboard. At this point dumping her would look like President Bus is doing the bidding of the rightwing of the party.

Because of his history of choosing nominees wisely, we owe him the benefit of the doubt.
