In the long run, we are all dead, but here's the long run since QCOM was born: finance.yahoo.com

A much, much, much better return than NEM.

Or, which is a more apt comparison, the pure metal gold.

NEM is just another industrial company hacking away at dirt looking for metal to sell.

QCOM is more sensibly compared with the actual metal as it's store of value we are discussing when discussing gold. Not how much companies make by digging it up and selling it to the gullible.
