That is very true. Same with the Viking mission and the test for life it carried with it. When a positive indication came out, scientists went to an extreme to prove that the test was at fault and the result were thus incorrect. As one observer at the time pointed out, if same test for life had been sent anywhere on Earth, the same positive result would never have been contested. Anyway, we will very soon know more about those Martian microbes, true or false. No doubt they will be found IMO :) Taro
