Peel the orange and then slice it. Lay a piece of the sweet red onion on the top of it. That way you can take bites without having to bite off the peel. Guess for color you could leave the peel on, but the ones I had were peeled. I would not want to eat the orange peel as having to chew it from the fruit would be troublesome and would probably have the juice all over me. Lol
