I notice INTC is finally showing a little relative strength this morning. And despite the falls in ALTR and TXN the SMH and SOX remain well above recent lows. We still have a chance for a decent rally Don.

I guess if Robert is the half full guy on the thread I am the half empty guy.

I do absolutely agree that we should buy the dips. Low prices on stocks can at times become ridiculously low. Regardless it seems like the question of when to take profits is not answered well enough by any of us.

My plan remains to short term swing trade until we get a cyclical bottom next year.

The glass may look nearly empty then but it won't be...

Consumer sentiment very low. Another hurricane took out south Florida and most of Miami plus the surrounding area is without power or phone lines. Misses by TXN, ALTR weighing heavy on the sector.

All short term issues, imo, but not too surprising that the sector is weak at this time.
