Tenet resigned because he was the scapegoat for Bush-Cheney's own lies and failures. Someone had to go and Tenet was the easiest to get rid of. Afterward, they gave him a Medal Of Freedom or something, plus some corporate crony of Bush probably paid him off with a fat contract.

Notice not a single Bushie has been fired yet despite so many proven failures, lies and incompetent misbehavior. Only the ones who dared to tell the truth have been fired. That is what makes this a criminally corrupt cabal and political regime which is not serving the people.
