Maybe you are being deliberately dense.

Personally I think the minimum wage should be raised. But I do not at all give any credit of desire for social justice to Lee Scott for his comment. It's all about profit. Wal Mart has shown no evidence whatsoever of desiring social justice. If they did they would pay their own employees more.

Now if they want credit for social justice they should say "we are going to set an example and raise our own employees' salaries, so that they can have a better life".
He controls his company. They could do that. But do they?

Not a chance.
