I believe most of the wildfires were on Federal land. If not, then the States should handle it.

But in total dollar expense, compared to some of the other trillions of dollars spent, the wildfires are just a blimp in the budget.

How about the floods and Mother Nature caused hurricane damage?

Personally, I think a couple of things:
1) Was the Federal money alloted to the levees in LA actually used for the levee updates? Was even a penny misspent? Who went over the budgets and the final spending?

2) Did the LA Gov and the NO Mayor even have a grip on the First Responders program, and were they allocated Federal money for this program? If so, what was accomplished? Why was there such a huge disconnect?

2) How much, if any, should we be giving to foreign countries when they have a disaster of any consequence...i.e. the latest earthquake in the Middle East? We gave $50 million, PLUS the helicopters, crews, fuel, support teams and equipment behind all of that.... Should we continue doing that, and if so, how much?

and so many more questions.

For instance, I'm not for the Feds giving any money to States for roads and freeways....except for Federal Interstates.

Are the Feds giving money to States in addition to the Fed Interstates....? How to find out? And if so, what states and for what?
