Cheney was in my neck of the woods the other day for a private (house party) Santorum fund raiser. $1,000 bucks a head and $5,000 for a picture with the Veep. Flew in, stayed an hour and left. No other events like visiting the VA hospital - which is just off the highway on the way to and from the airport. All he did was fly in, get in his limo (flown in early), tie up traffic and leave. Santorum, by the way, is history. Folks thought they had a decent, conservative fellow when he was elected and reelected - then he opened his mouth... and went even further and and wrote a book. Oops! This state went for Kerry in 2004 - no way Santorum will be sent back to the Senate.
