Check out the Oil Sands and Related Stocks board here on SI. There is more than you want to know about Oil Sands stocks and a lot about the trusts. Taiken, who sometimes posts on BDBBR is the resident expert and has posted his fav list. I think there is a board for Canroys also, but I have not read it. Best, JRH

Check out Encana (ECA), and Starpoint Energy Trust (SPN.UN) as possibilities while you are doing DD. ECA is interesting as a very long life Natural Gas play, with good growth possibilities over time - an unusual combination. There is also takeover speculation, probably not worth much. Obvious oil sands candidates for investigation are COS.UN (big, established) and OPC (OPTI), which is under construction, with some novel and worth-while technology, and thus perhaps more risk.
