In armed robbery or actual slavery, the individual can't change sides even if they want to. In a totalitarian state, where the individual has no rights and can't join up with the taxing authority side, it is no different from armed robbery. It is precisely armed robbery, though the guns are not brought out, just implied. Even in a democracy, it's not far off garden-variety armed robbery and genetically, it might even be racism in that producers are probably genetically different to some extent from the takers, just as in normal slavery there is usually some sort of genetic difference, to some extent anyway, though not always. Maoris used to have slaves and cannibalism, and the slaves were very much Maori, just from a different tribe, over the hill. Chimps patrol their territory and will capture and kill neighbouring chimps and take their territory. Humans are not far removed from chimps and some humans are still quite closely related to chimps. You can find them in government departments and other confiscatory realms. You can also find them in prisons. Some of us are evolving more away from found wealth genetics and towards created and traded wealth genetics. Yes, it's not just culture, it's genetics. You can't teach a chimp to create CDMA and trade it and respect intellectual property rights. Marriage is a variety of prostitution, not rape. The bloke provides the money and the woman provides the babies. It's a few steps up from prostitution of course because there is more in common, with long-term common goals, which are not shared in prostitution. It's nonsense to suggest marriage almost anywhere is rape. Though in Talebanland and in some arranged marriage places were females are very much chattles to be given away or traded, without literacy, voting rights or other rights, it's a different matter. If blokes don't like having a legalized parasite, they don't need to marry her. Personally, I think women have been undervalued in economics. The problem is that people don't put a value on human life [well, they do, unwittingly, and it's surprisingly low]. Say a woman produces 4 children who get to wisdom teeth stage, in good condition, more or less with most of their genetic potential intact. She has produced, in NZ, NZ$8 million in value [using government average values for road deaths]. I think the US uses US$2 million but Google could tell you. Input costs are much much less. Food, electricity, a bedroom, a bit of book-learnin', doctor bills and some cheap Made in China jeans add up to maybe $400,000 for the four. Of course a lot more can be spent and many dopey parents do waste money and spoil their offspring. But good quality 21 year olds are worth a LOT more than retired 65 year olds [in productive value, not personal net worth]. $8 million is real money! That's about $250,000 per year in value creation [it take about 30 years to get the 4 to age 21 as they come a couple of years apart]. That's AVERAGE value. Not even high-end offspring. High-end offspring are worth a LOT more than that. Some are worth $billions, though they are hard to identify until after the fact, a bit like Uncle Al explains about irrational exuberancies = we know them only afterwards. So women are grossly undervalued. Some aren't of course. Some produce negative value and unfortunately, they are often paid by the taxpayer to do so. They receive stolen taxpayer money, then produce dangerous destructive offspring who are cared for in prisons. The most stupid idea around!!! Women [aka rabid feminists] have themselves denigrated women who are producing the most value. Blokes should consider themselves lucky to have the privilege of a woman trusting their DNA and sacred Y chromosome to carry around hers. Weirdly, that has been turned on its head and women are not doing a good job of selecting blokes and women's value has been denigrated. Women have been complicit in that process - oddly, the women who claim to be in defence of women are all too often guilty of the crime. One of the most important things a woman can do is carry on the vital eugenics programmes they have conducted for millennia = select good DNA to carry their DNA. Mqurice
